A New Chapter for YachtingLawyers!

We have evolved…..

To better serve boat owners, buyers, sellers, mooring owners and operators and marine businesses.

YachtingLawyers is now a specialist marine consultancy business, rather than a division of a regulated law firm. This change allows us to offer greater flexibility and broader expertise across all aspects of boat ownership and mooring arrangements.

Over the past 15 years we have closely observed the marine market and listened to our clients. This experience has shown us that the way boats and moorings are bought, sold and owned is evolving rapidly with some marine transactions needing more flexible structure than traditional legal processes were designed for.

In response to this changing landscape, we have developed a modern business model that allows us to provide specialist marine consultancy and yacht advisory services outside the framework of a regulated law firm. This gives the client access to more flexible and commercially focused support.

What this means for you:

  • Practical, cost-effective services- Without the constraints of a regulated law firm, we can offer competitive fees while still delivering expert support.
  • A broader team of marine specialists- We can collaborate with a wider network of experienced marine experts, from yacht brokers to marine surveyors, insurers and yacht registries, and other marine industry professionals.
  • Advice beyond legal boundaries- We focus on what matters most to you: vessel transactions, mooring and berthing arrangements, vessel registrations, help with contracts and vessel documentation reviews, operational guidance and ownership structuring advice without being limited to regulated legal matters.

YachtingLawyers remains committed to clarity, integrity, and practicality. While we do not provide reserved legal services, we work alongside independent legal advisors when legal advice is required. Giving you the confidence to make informed decisions throughout every stage of buying, selling, and managing your vessel and moorings.

If you were a client of the former regulated practice and have any questions about this change, or for more information, please feel free contact us here.
