Our London office is based aboard HMS President, centrally located on Victoria Embankment on the River Thames by Blackfriars Bridge. Having an office aboard this unique historic warship generates great interest with our clients and works fantastically well for YachtingLawyers with the obvious maritime link to our business. Advising on all aspects of buying, selling and owning boats whilst actually being on this great boat is very inspirational!

HMS President is situated at such a convenient location which makes it a great meeting place and enables us to service our clients across London with easy access to both the West End and the City. Good transport links also make it easy for clients travelling in from outside London and the UK with City Airport close by.   Our unique office boasts spectacular views of the river Thames, as well as some of London’s most famous landmarks such as London Eye, South Bank Centre, Oxo Tower, National Theatre, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tate Modern and many more.

A brief history lesson for you… “HMS President was an Anchusa class corvette of the Royal Navy, completed in 1918. She was originally named HMS Saxifrage, from the Saxifrage genus of plants which includes the variety London Pride and has been permanently moored at Victoria Embankment for over 80 years.

Commissioned as a ‘Q’ Ship (or Mystery Ship), she was originally part of the flower class built in World War I and was known as Saxifrage (The pride of London). Saxifrage was built in Renfrew, Scotland as part of a small class of convoy protection ships built to look like merchant ships for use as Q-ships in World War I. Disguised as a merchant ship, she was designed to attract German U boats which she would then try and destroy with hidden weapons. HMS President (1918) is listed on the National Register of Historic Vessels”.
