The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is run by volunteers across the UK and Republic of Ireland providing 24-hour lifeboats and seasonal lifeguards dedicated to saving lives at sea.
The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is the UK’s national body for all forms of boating, including dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sports boats, powerboat racing, windsurfing, inland cruising and narrowboats, and personal watercraft.
The Dutch Barge Association (DBA) is a not-for-profit company, run by volunteers and open to everybody, with or without a boat or barge.
British Waterways cares for 2,200 miles of the country’s canals and rivers to ensure Britain’s inland waterways are looked after now and for many years to come.
The British Marine Federation (BMF) is an award-winning trade association for the leisure, superyacht and commercial marine industry providing a valuable resource for members, boaters and the industry itself.

 

The Professional Charter Association (PCA) is a non-profit making organisation where charterers’ interests are upheld. The PCA ensures that its members operate within or exceed national regulations covering Charter Vessels.

The Maritime & Coast Guard Agency (MCA) is an organisation committed to preventing loss of life at sea by continuously improving maritime safety and protecting the marine environment.
The UK Ship Register (part of MCA) is one of the best performing flags in the major port state control regimes with a reputation for maintaining the highest international standards.
Any vessel registered in the UK, Crown Dependency or UK Overseas Territory, is a “British ship” and is entitled to fly the Red Ensign flag with the international recognition, prestige and protection afforded to it.

The Yacht Designers and Surveyors Association (YDSA) is an established professional association for marine surveyors and designers of small craft.

The Association of Yacht Brokers and Yacht Agents (ABYA) is a professional organisation with over 150 members which are experienced professionals in boat buying and boat sales.
The Yacht Brokers, Designers and Surveyors Association (YBDSA) is the management company for several professional associations including YDSA, ABYA and PCA.

Part of the British Marine Federation, Superyacht UK is the focal point for UK innovation and excellence – championing the UK Superyacht industry for yacht designers, builders, equipment providers and destinations for yachts over 24 metres load line length.

 

The Insurance, Financial & Legal Services Association (IFLSA) is a group assciation of the British Marine Federation, representing members from the insurance, financial and legal fields of the industry.
